Travel and Visa Information
By Air
Bozeman is served by Gallatin Field Airport that hosts national airlines United, Northwest/Delta, Frontier, and Allegiant. Major hubs for connections to Bozeman are located in Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Denver, Seattle and Chicago. The airport is located approximately twelve miles from campus. ASV bus service from the airport to the MSU campus will be provided by Karst Stage on Friday and Saturday, July 16th and 17th. Reservations must be made with Karst Stage. Several hotels offer free shuttle service. Taxi service in Bozeman is limited. For the return journey to the airport, shuttle buses will be arranged for Wednesday July 21st after the morning symposia.
By Land
Bozeman is an approximately 7 hour drive from Salt Lake City, UT or 12 hour drive from Denver, CO.
Parking
If you will require parking on campus, Monday-Friday from 6 am to 6 pm, you must purchase a parking permit either when you check into your campus housing accommodations at the parking kiosk located near the corner of Grant Street and 7th Avenue or at the Conference Registration desk. Parking permits are $5/day in the preferred lot or $2.50 per day in the student lots designated by S/B. There is no charge for campus parking on weekends.
Visa Invitation Letter
Individuals requiring an official letter of invitation in order to obtain a visa or permission to attend the meeting may request one from the ASV 2010 Conference Secretariat by e-mail at toni.lee@montana.edu. The letter does not imply that any part of the registration fees or other expenses will be assumed by the meeting organizers.
